Crisfield The Salvation Army

In the early 1990’s Salvation Army director Phil Parks, discovered that several families in the local area did not have the money to enjoy the Christmas Holiday’s.

Not being able to see this happen Phil contacted some local businesses and the Salvation Army main office to get the funds to help these families have a joyful Christmas after all!

So began Christmas on the Chesapeake

Now in it’s 18th year Christmas on the Chesapeake "our gift to the people of Somerset County" has grown in to the Crisfield Salvation Army’s largest fund raiser.

In 2008 Christmas on the Chesapeake has brought over 100 families in our community a happy holiday

This was done with the contributions of corporate sponsors, local,  regional businesses & citizens like you!
